GSI Commerce Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback
eBay Enterprise, Inc. (formerly GSI Commerce, Inc.) was a multinational e-commerce corporation that specialized in creating, developing and running online shopping sites for brick and mortar brands and retailers. The company also provided a variety of marketing, consumer engagement, customer care, payment processing, fulfilment, fraud detection, and technology integration services.
eBay Enterprise had over 500 clients and operated 26 offices in North America, Europe, and Asia. It provided services for companies such as Zales, iRobot, Timberland, Ace Hardware, Sports Authority, Dick's Sporting Goods, and RadioShack.
According to the Philadelphia Business Journal, Christopher Saridakis, 45, a former GSI Commerce senior executive, pleaded guilty in May 2014 to suggest that someone buy the King of Prussia company’s stock as it was about to be sold to eBay for $2.4 billion in 2011. VIGILANTE (Former Employee) says"no estaba estable el supervisor no tenia palabra trabajaba por necesidad no porque me gustaraseguro de vidano podíamos perder tiempo"
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) says"It's a typical call center. You're on the phone all day talking to nasty customers. It's extremely stressful, and you never know who's listening. They monitor your calls and one little slip up, and you get slammed on your scores. Whoever writes the scripts obviously has no clue how to speak to people.busy dayshort breaks, little pay"
Customer Service (Former Employee) says"They'd tell you how great you are 1 minute & then during their "weekly review",they'd yell at you for how you didn't say something that you were supposed to on a previous call that was recorded. You can request as much undertime as you needthey can change your schedule at anytime"
Fundraiser (Former Employee) says"If you don't mind being micromanaged, and asking people for money. Also there should be longer breaks because of the stressful atmosphere. There are also no benefits."
oficial de seguridad (Current Employee) says"buen ambiente laboral.. se trabaja tiempo extras sin pago...trabajar descansostiempos extras sin pagos.."
Picker/Packer (Former Employee) says"I do not advise anyone to come out here unless you are in desperate need of money. I hated it, long, boring hours with no music & no cellphones.good holiday moneyshort breaks, no healthcare, hot"
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) says"Ugh, avoid this place at all costs! They do not value their employees. Everything is about "business needs". Either you will get sent home early (cannot pay bills this way) to accommodate business needs or you will not be allowed to use the bathroom, even if you really really have to.Pays some billsNo breaks, loss of money for business needs"
Packer (Former Employee) says"Ship you in move product out and lay you off period. writing this because we are forced to write reviews even though we choose to not do so at all. It's a jobDo not value employees"
Warehouse (temp) says"no place to stay but as far as a summer temp job went the environment made it do-able day to day"
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) says"When I worked for GSI I would take calls from across the country where I placed orders for customers or worked on a account, depending on the incoming call. Although the customers on some cases were very upset with orders that were previously placed, I learned the value of patience and that every customer deserved to be treated with respect. I found management to be rude and not very helpful at times. The hardest part of my job was when management would play a lot of favoritism with certain employees and once employees reached their probation period many of us were laid off. I did not find my position to be enjoyable.Too many lay offs."
4 livello (Current Employee) says"Non fai una vita normale nn puoi farti mai dei programmi della tua vita e xer via del tipo di lavoro e salario basso e andata in crisi la mia vita coniugaletikettto"
Customer Care Representative (Former Employee) says"very fun place to work. I made good money and had time for my family"
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) says"Stressful it was not a good job. We had to work hours in a freezing building with customers and managers yelling at us almost constantly. The pay was good, but the customers were not. The management was fair, but overbearing.None"
Cable puller (Current Employee) says"The job itself wouldn't be so bad if the company itself showed some care or concern for the employees. The only importance there that I see is getting the job done."
Call Center Agent (Former Employee) says"I don't know if it is the company or just the industry, but I found the call agent position to be suffocating. Inability to leave your desk for any reason unless going to lunch or leaving for the day. Being constantly measured on how long I took to make a sale with faulty, glitchy software slowing me down was frustrating. Again, it may just be me but I would avoid working in a call center at all costs in the future.free food on certain occasionsinequitable pay scale, training insufficient to prepare agents, executives cannot be trusted and lie about you"
Production Support (Former Employee) says"I your ready to be screamed at, over worked, and used. Then this is place for you.gymproduction support management"
Lumper (Former Employee) says"About the buffalo location. Supervisors are horrible . employees they get through Temp agencies are all drugged up. One of the supervisors will not stay more than eight hours and on top of that he will also leave if he knows there's going to be a long day and comes back at the end of the work day and gets marked for the hours he's not there. Harassment is real big in the work place and also people body up and team up on people.NoneShort breaks. Hostile environment. A lot of harassment"
A Developer (Former Employee) says"This company has two sides - the warehousing and fulfillment side, which seems to be only fair to midling in how they treat their workers, and then... then there is the King Of Prussia office where the ecommerce site development is done. This is the only company I have ever heard of actually being blacklisted by recruiters. Ask any third-party or headhunter organization (as long as they aren't trying to get you in) and you will hear horror stories as you never thought possible from a company located in the US. There's the time twenty+ developers walked out over a two week period after they were forced to work in a room with the CEO literally standing there yelling at them to finish their work. Then there is the warring architects who seem to take joy in fighting proxy battles through their development teams. There are projects started that after months of work were found to have not been needed. There was the rollout of the new checkout system that blew the servers after many a developer warned them months earlier of major problems. There are project managers telling you one thing and team leads telling you another, and just for fun, an architect will randomly parachute in and tell you to forget the other two and just listen to him, giving you the rare three-way Sophie's choice. One recruiter told me the story of a DBA who, on his second day on the job, called the recruiter who got him in to tell them that he couldn't go back into the building, that it was just that bad. For contractors, they will hire you, and then about a year later try and force you to go fullYou aren't working for themThe company exists."
Sales Agent (Former Employee) says"Very fun environment answering inbound calls to activate credit cards and sell the protection plan. Must meet quota for sales. Management team is fun and easy going along with co-workers. They play music while everyone works. Fun EnvironmentNot secure employment"
Sales Representative (Former Employee) says"It was a good job the benefits was good. I loved the job because because it was an inbound call center and people actually wanted to buy the products and it was not based on commission it was hourly and you can work overtime and make more $money$. They pay you for time off and you take it anytime. The let leave early if your not feeling well. It can be annoying sometime with all the calls coming in but if you confident and do a good job you will be fine.paid vacation. good benefits. good pay!must stay on point or get terminated."
Mrs Joan Simpson says"My parcel took a week to arrive. expected delivery two to thrww days. very disappointing. Your instructions here are in a foreign language too!!!!! Joan Simpson, Newark"
CAROLINE HALL says"Ordered a parcel from a company, was supposed to be delivered 15th August, I’m still waiting. Contacted the company and they need to launch an investigation, could take up to 30 days to receive my money back. So ordered another thinking surely it won’t go missing twice, nope I was wrong. So Hermes now has 2 of my orders, I’m now over £500 out of pocket and can’t get a hold of anybody at Hermes to find out what exactly is going on!"
Victoria says"Hermes claims to have attempted to delivery but I have been here all day waiting for it - and my kids we’re at the window and I have a video camera on the door - and they have not attempted delivery. They also said there is no safe place when I specifically asked Them to leave the parcel behind the large bins out front. I am really cross. It is a bank holiday weekend and I now have to wait 4 more days for a delivery which was due yesterday. Not impressed."
Emmi River says"Stressful chasing and time consuming phone calls always required when Hermes has got one of our parcels to deliver. Unpleasant each time."
