eBay Enterprise, Inc. (formerly GSI Commerce, Inc.) was a multinational e-commerce corporation that specialized in creating, developing and running online shopping sites for brick and mortar brands and retailers. The company also provided a variety of marketing, consumer engagement, customer care, payment processing, fulfilment, fraud detection, and technology integration services.

eBay Enterprise had over 500 clients and operated 26 offices in North America, Europe, and Asia. It provided services for companies such as Zales, iRobot, Timberland, Ace Hardware, Sports Authority, Dick's Sporting Goods, and RadioShack.

According to the Philadelphia Business Journal, Christopher Saridakis, 45, a former GSI Commerce senior executive, pleaded guilty in May 2014 to suggest that someone buy the King of Prussia company’s stock as it was about to be sold to eBay for $2.4 billion in 2011. Read more about it here. In addition to the 15-month prison term, U.S. District Court Judge Steward Dalzell ordered one year of supervised release, a $10,000 fine and a $100 special assessment.

"It's a typical call center. You're on the phone all day talking to nasty customers. It's extremely stressful, and you never know who's listening. "When I worked for GSI I would take calls from across the country where I placed orders for customers or worked on a account, depending on the incoming call. Although the customers on some cases were very upset with orders that were previously placed, I learned the value of patience and that every customer deserved to be treated with respect. I found management to be rude and not very helpful at times. The hardest part of my job was when management would play a lot of favoritism with certain employees and once employees reached their probation period many of us were laid off. I did not find my position to be enjoyable.Too many lay offs."

"I don't know if it is the company or just the industry, but I found the call agent position to be suffocating. Inability to leave your desk for any reason unless going to lunch or leaving for the day. Being constantly measured on how long I took to make a sale with faulty, glitchy software slowing me down was frustrating. Again, it may just be me but I would avoid working in a call center at all costs in the food on certain occasionsinequitable pay scale, training insufficient to prepare agents, executives cannot be trusted and lie about you"

"About the buffalo location. Supervisors are horrible . employees they get through Temp agencies are all drugged up. One of the supervisors will not stay more than eight hours and on top of that he will also leave if he knows there's going to be a long day and comes back at the end of the work day and gets marked for the hours he's not there. "This company has two sides - the warehousing and fulfillment side, which seems to be only fair to midling in how they treat their workers, and then... then there is the King Of Prussia office where the ecommerce site development is done. This is the only company I have ever heard of actually being blacklisted by recruiters. Ask any third-party or headhunter organization (as long as they aren't trying to get you in) and you will hear horror stories as you never thought possible from a company located in the US. There's the time twenty+ developers walked out over a two week period after they were forced to work in a room with the CEO literally standing there yelling at them to finish their work. Then there is the warring architects who seem to take joy in fighting proxy battles through their development teams. There are projects started that after months of work were found to have not been needed. There was the rollout of the new checkout system that blew the servers after many a developer warned them months earlier of major problems. There are project managers telling you one thing and team leads telling you another, and just for fun, an architect will randomly parachute in and tell you to forget the other two and just listen to him, giving you the rare three-way Sophie's choice. One recruiter told me the story of a DBA who, on his second day on the job, called the recruiter who got him in to tell them that he couldn't go back into the building, that it was just that bad. For contractors, they will hire you, and then about a year later try and force you to go fullYou aren't working for themThe company exists."

I loved the job because because it was an inbound call center and people actually wanted to buy the products and it was not based on commission it was hourly and you can work overtime and make more $money$. They pay you for time off and you take it anytime. The let leave early if your not feeling well. It can be annoying sometime with all the calls coming in but if you confident and do a good job you will be fine.paid vacation. good benefits. good pay!must stay on point or get terminated."

"Ordered a parcel from a company, was supposed to be delivered 15th August, I’m still waiting. Contacted the company and they need to launch an investigation, could take up to 30 days to receive my money back. So ordered another thinking surely it won’t go missing twice, nope I was wrong. So Hermes now has 2 of my orders, I’m now over £500 out of pocket and can’t get a hold of anybody at Hermes to find out what exactly is going on!"

"Hermes claims to have attempted to delivery but I have been here all day waiting for it - and my kids we’re at the window and I have a video camera on the door - and they have not attempted delivery. They also said there is no safe place when I specifically asked Them to leave the parcel behind the large bins out front. I am really cross. It is a bank holiday weekend and I now have to wait 4 more days for a delivery which was due yesterday. Not impressed."
